Welcome to Grace & Violet, a studio based bespoke weddings and events florist. Set up by Laura Gutle in 2017, we specialise in beautiful, bespoke flowers for all of life’s important events, and serve Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, surrounding counties and beyond.

Nature is at the heart of every one of my designs. Beautiful, seasonal flowers selected at their prime, including British grown as much as possible, epitomises the style of floristry that is at the heart of Grace & Violet. Using sustainable floral mechanics that leave as little impact as possible on the environment is something that is close to my heart and something that I strive to achieve as much as possible.

Hi I’m Laura, lover of flowers and all things weddings and events.

After spending 10 years living in France and Switzerland, I returned to the UK to follow my heart and retrain as a florist and in 2017, Grace & Violet was born. As a naturally creative person, floristry seemed like a natural choice for me, especially as flowers have always been a part of my childhood memories with both my mother and grandmother sharing their love of their garden and the flowers that grew there with me as I grew up. For me, flowers have the power to evoke a strong emotional reaction thanks to the memories I associate with them, and this is something I try to bring to my work. My ultimate goal is to wow each couple that I work with by creating bespoke arrangements and bring a (happy) tear to their eye with flowers that will be remarked upon and spoken about long after the event that they were created for is over.

My floristry style is natural and elegant and fairly unstructured. I like to work with what’s in season, carefully selecting the best flowers and foliage available to create natural and elegant designs that are bespoke to each brief and therefore perfectly fit each of my couples’ personalities and vision. It’s also very important to me that my designs have as little environmental impact as possible. This means designs free from floral foam as much as possible, using seasonal blooms grown in the UK where available.

Each couple’s day is as individual as they are and it is a pleasure to be a part of that. I work hard to really get to know my couples so that I can ensure that their flowers are truly bespoke and reflect them and their story perfectly.
